I have been a "word nerd" ever since I first learned to read. English has always been my favourite subject, and, in the early 2000s, I completed my education in Journalism at Niagara College and Toronto Metropolitan University.
Since graduating, I've worked as a reporter for community newspapers, and for many years, I was part of the editorial staff for a national magazine formerly known as What's Up? Canada's Family Magazine. In recent years, I was the Executive Assistant to the CEO of an international manufacturing company.
My career took a significant shift during the global pandemic. My former employer sold his company, which relocated, causing me to be jobless. But I am so glad this happened because it pushed me to finally pursue my dream job, offering my writing and editing talents to those who want and need them.
Since opening in September 2020, I have edited manuscripts, thesis papers, dissertations, websites, business plans and lesson plans. I have also been fortunate in writing content for books, blogs, and websites, as well as product and property descriptions, short video scripts, and other various marketing content.
I also wrote and self-published a book commemorating the 100-year history of the Grimsby Peach Kings, my hometown Junior C hockey club. This book showed me what perseverance is, and it is available now for only $25. For more information or to purchase a copy, please email me at sarah@editit.ca.
As a Journalist, I love gathering information and putting it together into a good read. I also love reviewing written work and analyzing how to convey a message in the best way possible. My skills have only strengthened throughout my career, and I am now offering them to you at very affordable rates. So contact me today, and let's start writing!
